La Petite Ecole Bilingue de Bordeaux

Our Classes

La Petite École Bilingue welcomes children aged 2 and a half to 11 in 7 nursery and primary classes. Because we prioritise progression according to rhythm and needs rather than age, our classes mix certain levels. Because our large building is secure, well-equipped and has a unique environment, our children feel at home in their school.

Kindergarten

Classe de maternelle bilingue de la Petite Ecole Bilingue de Bordeaux

Our young learners are taught in 4 classes: 3 Petite/Moyenne Section classes and 1 Grande Section class.

For 3 years, we prepare them for entry into CP, by developing their enthusiasm for learning to read, write and count.

Furthermore, we know how important it is for children of this age to be able to assert themselves and learn to be part of a group. That’s why we pay special attention to individual development and learning the rules of life in society.

Primary

Classe de primaire bilingue de la Petite Ecole Bilingue de Bordeaux

Our primary students, aged 6 to 11, are divided into 3 classes: CP, CE1/CE2, CM1/CM2.

Our priority is the gradual acquisition of the fundamental subjects needed for entry into secondary school: French, English, mathematics, history, geography, science and technology.

In addition, by the very essence of our educational project, we also emphasise the development of artistic sensibility and manual and physical education.

Children's Everyday Lives

Studying and Discovering the World

I study core subjects in French and English at my own pace. I discover the world around me, learning to understand and respect it. I take part in activities that help me to develop my imagination and general knowledge.

Community Life

Every day, I learn to live in society by taking part in school tasks and being attentive to others. In class, in the canteen and during activities, I help out. I listen to those around me and help them when they need it.

Recovering and Resting

At lunchtime, it's simple: I stay at school for lunch. To recharge my batteries, I enjoy the canteen with my classmates. Then it's quiet time. We have a comfortable room and nap areas for a good sleep, and a library full of books.

Getting Some Fresh Air and Letting Off Steam

At break time, in our big playground, I can play freely: running, playing, smelling the flowers, looking at the trees... And what an opportunity! Our school has its own secure, heated swimming pool, table tennis table, bicycles and vegetable garden.
